Since they successfully built a robust project business across Europe, supporting global enterprises and SMBs with solutions in process automation, and AI. Looking ahead, their strategic focus is shifting to launch a cutting-edge supply chain AI platform, purpose-built to automate and optimize operations for enterprises.
 

The role

They are looking for a Founding CPTO (Chief Product and Technology Officer) who will hold overall responsibility for the strategic direction, development, and execution of their product roadmap and its technological architecture. As their engineering and product lead, you bridge the gap between their AI models and real customer value. You will define what they build (Product) and how they build it (Tech), taking them from MVP stage to a market leader for supply chain AI.
 

Your responsibilities

1. Product strategy and discovery (the "P")

• Own the Roadmap: You translate their business vision into a tangible product roadmap. You prioritize ruthlessly based on customer feedback and data, not gut feeling.
• Customer Obsession: You run product discovery cycles, speak to users, and ensure they solve real problems.
• Release Management: You know how to slice features to deliver value fast, validating hypotheses with minimal engineering effort.
• Customer Support: You own technical product support for their customers.

2. Technical leadership and execution (the "T")

• Hands-on Leadership: In the beginning, you are willing to code, review PRs, and set up the architecture. You lead by example, not just by title.
• Team Building: You recruit and mentor their core engineering and product team (growing from “0” to >30 engineers/experts/leaders). You establish a culture of shipping fast with high quality.
• You understand the power of a 100% AI-driven company and how to translate in your area of responsibility by automating internal development/engineering and product processes on base of their existing stack. Their goal is maximum internal efficiency.
• Pragmatic Architecture: You choose the right tools for the job and ensure continuous technical innovation of the firm. You avoid over-engineering (e.g., unnecessary microservices) but build a scalable foundation (Cloud-Native, Clean Code).

3. AI integration and operations

• Partner with the Head of AI: While the Head of AI builds the models, you build the infrastructure to serve them reliably.
• MLOps & Scalability: You are responsible for "Productionizing AI" – managing API latencies, vector databases, and inference costs at scale.

Requirements:

• You have a proven track record of 8+ years experience in a senior expert and technology leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP or Head of Engineering/Product, Lead Developer, Principle, Software Architect) at fast-growing B2B software or SaaS companies, ideally with a focus on logistics, AI, or business process automation.
• You are highly motivated by the chance to collaboratively build and scale a startup. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities and challenges frequently shift. This is a demanding start-up role, so it's not for those seeking the boring path.  
• As a natural builder and tech visionary, you drive innovation, solve complex real-world problems, and confidently navigate the roles of an expert, a leader, and an entrepreneur.
• You are very experienced building and scaling a B2B SaaS product from scratch together with sales, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure successful market adoption and customer ROI.
• You have proven that you can actively coach technical teams and contribute to their professional development and growth.
• Exceptional skills in business and technical communication, able to articulate complex topics to the C-Suite, technical teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
• You have deep expertise in a scalable, modern language and its ecosystem like Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript/Next.js to build robust, high-performance services in platforms.
• You champion a culture of DevOps and engineering excellence, driving the implementation of robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management to ensure rapid, reliable, and high-quality deployment of product features.
• You have profound, practical experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, StackIT, OVH, or Azure) to manage infrastructure beyond foundational Kubernetes. This includes serverless computing, cloud security, and cost optimization for a scaling AI/SaaS product.
• You are very experienced in applying LLM/GenAI models in technical solutions and have a profound understanding of its principles.
• English business fluency
• Based in their Munich hub, can be changed to remote and regular on-sites (2-4 per month). 

Optional Requirements:

• German B2+ strongly preferred   
• Supply Chain process or domain knowledge 
• Expertise in enterprise ERP, TMS, or CRM technologies  

This role is NOT for you if:

• You prefer managing managers and budgets over discussing architecture and user flows. 
• Your last experience with hands-on coding was during your academic studies. 
• Team culture and close collaboration is everything for them, do not apply if you like tech more than people.
